China’s contemporary development in a globalised world has become a cornerstone for the evolution of humanity, regardless of geographical location, governance model or political-economic influence. For this reason, it is even more important to know the historical tradition of China’s strategy, as well as its societal values and its attitude to the challenges of today’s world. Peaceful coexistence, an ecologically sound and sustainable economy, social protections for all people and mutual understanding between different cultures around the world – China’s new development philosophy integrates all of these aspects, which this conference aims to explore in more depth by listening to the views of leading world experts, diplomats, academics and scholars.
